Digital Communications Coordinator Job Description
We are seeking a versatile Digital Communications Coordinator to oversee the development and implementation of our sweeping digital communications strategy.
You will be primarily responsible for creating and shaping our digital communications roadmap and grow our business’ online visibility.
As a Digital Communications Manager at Friends of Ye Olde Towne Hall, you will work on social media, content, and marketing to shape and define our digital presence. You will also develop and support our day-to-day mobile and email marketing activities and campaigns.
Our ideal candidate is a creative individual with an understanding of digital marketing (email, social media, content), an eye for detail, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development and implementation of digital communications strategies guided by the Chair and secretary of the board of The Friends of Ye Olde Towne Hall
- Strategize, plan, and manage day-to-day digital content production including websites, email, and social media
- Work closely with community leaders, and external content creators to come up with fresh and creative ways of telling our stories, publishing content, and engaging with our online audience
- Monitor audience engagement to gauge the effectiveness of the organization’s digital strategies
- Develop detailed briefs for board members to create and compelling content
Position Details
- · You must be between 18 and 30 years old (Canada Summer Jobs requirement)
- · This a summer position starting July 1st, 2025
- · 8 weeks – 35 hours per week $18 per hour

- · Based at Ye Olde Towne Hall, Ailsa Craig
Communications Coordinator Qualifications/Skills:
- Good organizational, planning, and coordination skills
- Ability to multi-task as needed
- Desire to take full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
- Good verbal presentation, group dynamic, and facilitation skills
- Proactive approach in resolving problems and issues
Requirements
- An interest in Communications, Journalism, marketing, or related field
- Stung knowledge of a variety of communication channels (Facebook, Istagram, Website)
- An exceptional storyteller who can bring our brand to life
- A real team player who easily builds relationships with internal and external people alike
- Effective project and time management skills, with the special focus on the ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines
